01THE CLIENT
The Client: Strong Accounts, Few New Ones
Würth has its own business in Türkiye, selling tools, fixings and workshop supplies to trade customers. Customers stayed for years, but new ones came mostly through the sales team’s visits and referrals.
The sales manager wanted regular meetings with manufacturers the team had never spoken to, and in our first meeting walked us through the product ranges and regions where they could deliver quickly. The lists were built around that.

02THE PROBLEM
The Problem: Emails Landing in Spam
The company had once tried bulk email from its main address to a bought list. Most of those emails never reached an inbox.
The Main Domain at Risk
After the bulk send, even the company’s everyday emails to customers had started landing in spam from time to time.
One Email for Everyone
A long email describing the catalogue went word for word to purchasing managers and maintenance managers alike.
Nothing Measured
Nobody tracked replies, meetings or inbox placement, so there was no way to say what was working.
What the wider data saysPublished numbers from outside Scale Chapter that explain why the work was done in this order.

03OUR WORK
What We Did: Our Email Outreach Work
Nothing went out from the company’s main domain. We bought separate sending domains close to the brand name, added SPF, DKIM and DMARC records to each and warmed them up at low volume for several weeks. Real sending started only once inbox placement tests came back clean.
We built the lists ourselves. Manufacturers in the target sectors came from organised industrial zone directories and from Apollo, and in each company we found the people who decide in purchasing, maintenance and production. Every address was verified before use, and every reply and meeting was logged from the first send.
Each email was short and written around the reader’s job: delivery times for purchasing managers, machine downtime for maintenance managers. The first version carried a catalogue attachment and few people replied, so we dropped it for plain text ending in one question. Replies were answered the same day, and interested buyers went straight into the sales team’s calendar.

06QUESTIONS
Email Outreach Case Study: Frequently Asked Questions
- Will cold email damage our company’s domain?
Not if it is set up properly. Scale Chapter sends outreach from separate domains that are warmed up gradually, never from your main domain, so your everyday email stays completely apart from it. Sending only starts once inbox placement tests come back clean.
- How do you charge for cold email outreach?
Scale Chapter charges a flat monthly fee, with no charge per email sent or per meeting booked. The fee depends on how many channels we run and how much of the work you hand over. After a free audit we set out the plan and the fee on one page.
- How long before cold email brings in the first meetings?
New sending domains need a few weeks of warm-up before a campaign starts, and cutting that short lowers inbox placement. Once sending begins, the first meetings usually follow soon after. A steady flow settles in once the lists and messages have been through a few rounds of testing.
- What do you need from us to get started?
We need to know which customers, product groups and regions you can serve, because the lists are built around that. We also ask for technical access to add DNS records for the sending domains, and a sales calendar to book interested buyers into. Everything else, including the lists and the emails, we prepare.
- Who builds the lists, writes the emails and handles replies?
We build the lists for each campaign ourselves and verify every address before sending. We also write every email and follow-up, answer replies the same day and book interested buyers straight into your sales team’s calendar. The same team stays on your account throughout; how we work is set out on our home page.
- How do you measure cold email results?
We do not rely on open rates, because privacy settings have made them unreliable. Scale Chapter reports reply rate, inbox placement and the qualified meetings your sales team actually held. We go through those numbers with you every week.
- Does cold email work for industrial and B2B companies?
Often, yes, especially in sectors where buyers can be identified by job title. Purchasing and maintenance managers are not always looking for a new supplier, but they will answer a short, relevant email when they have a delivery or stock problem. So Scale Chapter writes about a problem from the buyer’s working day and leaves the catalogue for later.
- How do you keep cold email within data protection rules such as KVKK?
We write only to the work addresses of people whose job fits the offer, and every email says who is sending it and how to stop hearing from us. Anyone who asks to be left alone comes off every list at once. We also agree the wording with you, and with your legal team where you have one, before the first email goes out.
